「日本国際万博覧会を訪れる方々を笑顔で帰したい。一人として悲しみの涙は見たくない。」 そんな想いで始まった万博救急医療体制の構築。 雪の中、雨の中、風の中、そして最も懸念していた夏の猛暑の中、地元愛知県から、また全国から集まった救急医療関係者は、休む間もなく次から次へと懸命な活動を重ねてきました。その成果は、尊い命を助けることとなり、マスコミからは「万博の奇跡」としても紹介されたました。こうした万博で構築された世界最先端の救急医療システムを地元愛知県に継承するとともに世界に向けて発信することは、国際博としての2005年日本国際博覧会に関わった者の責務であると考え、SECDEMを設立しました。
