Maison de la mer is an exhibition initiating platform, without a permanent home. Set up in 2016 in Malmö, Sweden our priority is to present work that we find personal and emotionally engaging. We have a particular interest in practices that linking universal themes of the human condition such as love, loss, loneliness, intimacy and beauty with a personal experience and with new expressions. Maison de la mer is both a physical place and a mental space. It could be what we call paradise, built by the memory of happiness and sadness experienced. Maison de la mer is therefore sometimes a very large building.
