EVI LICHTUNGEN
At EVI LICHTUNGEN, the city of Hildesheim is transformed into an extraordinary art mile: artists from different nations enter into dialogue with their works in significant locations and spaces in the decentralized exhibition project. Facades become canvases, interiors become frictional surfaces of contemporary art. The international light art project thus leads to a completely new perspective on known and formative places as well as exploring hidden corners in the cityscape. During the EVI clearings, all guests and also the residents of Hildesheim can see their city shine in a new light. And admission to this unique event is free of charge.
Susanne Frantal
Susanne Frantal is an austrian artist who works in the field of textile media at the intercept of art, design and science. Her work is influenced by the knowledge she gained as a textile conservator and textile chemist that allows her to explore possibilities of using new and historic textile materials and techniques in order to transform them into new forms of art. She currently also gives lectures on hand embroidery at the Department of Art Sciences and Art Education at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, where she formerly studied.

Other Projects designs things. We apply architectural thinking to domains beyond traditional buildings - our work range from narratives to strategies, objects to furniture, interiors to exteriors, villages to cities. We like to explore and create playful designs that respond positively to ever-changing contemporary needs in rational, innovative, and often, naive ways. Other Projects is a multi-disciplinary design studio directed by Nicolas Lee, Douglas Lee, and Kelvin Ho, and is currently based in New York (and occasionally, Hong Kong).
