Ingredients:
- 1 pound diced boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- Cooking Spray
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- Cornstarch Slurry: 1 tablespoon water, 1-2 teaspoons cornstarch
How to cook:
- Start by cutting the chicken into 1 to 2-inch pieces. Then toss them with the cornstarch.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Then set the chicken into the air fryer basket, air fry for 5 minutes at 370 degrees F, air fryer setting. Then toss the chicken and air fry for another 5-7 minutes.
- Note: If you have an air fryer basket, shake the basket. If you have an air fryer oven, use a pair of tongs and flip the chicken.
- Cook the chicken until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
- While the chicken is cooking, prepare the sauce to add the olive oil, bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, and minced garlic into a saucepan. Over low-medium heat until the sauce starts to simmer.
- If you want to thicken the sauce in a small bowl, make the cornstarch slurry by missing the water and cornstarch.
- Toss the chicken with the sauce.
- Serve over rice, plate, serve and enjoy!
