How to cook:
  1. Place chicken tenders into the air fryer basket. If possible, do not overlap, leaving room between the pieces of chicken. Cook at 400 degrees for for 9 minutes, then flip strips over and continue cooking for an additional 3-5 minutes until crispy.*

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon cajun seasoning (low sodium)

  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup seasoned bread crumbs

How to cook:
  1. Marinate chicken tenders in buttermilk at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
  2. Combine flour, cornstarch, seasonings and salt & pepper to taste in a bowl. Whisk egg with 1 tablespoon water in a separate bowl and combine seasoned breadcrumbs and cornflakes in a 3rd bowl.
  3. Remove chicken tenders from the buttermilk allowing any excess to drip off. Pat dry with paper towel.

How to cook:
  1. Preheat air fryer to 400.
  2. Place the chicken tenders in a ziplock bag or bowl and coat with milk
  3. Mix the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper, and seasoning in a shallow bowl
  4. Place the egg in another bowl and flour in a separate bowl.
  5. Dredge the tenders through the flour, shaking off excess, then dip in egg, then dredge through the breadcrumb mix.
  6. Spray the air fryer trays or basket with oil and place the tenders on the tray. Do not crowd or overlap the the tenders.
  7. Spray the chicken tenders with oil.
  8. Air fry for 5 minutes, then turn the tenders over and spray them again with oil. Switch tray positions if using multiple trays.
  9. Air fry for another 5 minutes and again flip the tenders and switch trays if necessary.
  10. Air fry for another 6 minutes or until the chicken tenders are golden brown and internal temperature is at least 165, flipping the tenders or switching trays as necessary.

How to cook:
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F.
  2. Set up a dredge station. In a shallow bowl, stir together the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. In another shallow bowl, beat together the eggs, water, and hot sauce.
  3. One at a time, dip both sides of the chicken tenders in the seasoned flour, then into the egg wash, and then back into the flour making sure both sides are coated. Shake off any excess flour.
  4. Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray. Place the breaded tenders into the basket making sure they don't touch. (I usually have to work in batches.) Give the tops of the chicken a good spritz with olive oil spray. There shouldn't be any dry spots.
  5. Cook the chicken for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through. (see note) Spritz the tops of the chicken with olive oil spray after flipping.
  6. When the timer goes off the chicken should be golden brown and crispy with an internal temperature of 165 degrees F. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
