- 6 cups sliced peeled apples
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ yellow cake mix (dry)
- 1/2 cup cold butter, cut into cubes
- Whipped cream, if desired

- Spray large slow cooker with cooking spray. Add apple slices, sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of the cinnamon; toss.
- In large bowl, mix dry cake mix and remaining 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Cut in butter with pastry blender or two knives until size of small peas. Dump on top of apple mixture.
- Cover; cook on High heat setting 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until fruit is bubbling and cobbler topping is light golden brown. Serve immediately with whipped cream.

- Spray the crockpot or slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray or use a liner.
- Add the apple pie filling on the bottom of the pot.
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- Sprinkle the cake mix mixture on top of the apple pie filling.
- Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl and drizzle over the cake mix evenly.
- Place a paper towel on top of the crockpot or slow cooker and add the lid. The paper towel needs to be pulled tight, then the lid on top to make it nice and tight.
- Set to high for 3 hours.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.

- Filling
- In a large 6 quart crock, add in the apples.
- In a small bowl, add in the brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and salt. Stir to combine.
- Add the brown sugar mixture on top of the apples.
- Pour the vanilla extract and apple juice on top of the apple. Stir to coat the apples with the brown sugar mixture.
- Add the slices of butter on top of the apples.
- Topping
- Add the yellow cake mix to the top of the apples. Be sure to evenly distribute it.
- Pour the melted butter on top of the cake mix.
- Place the lid on the crockpot and place on low for 6 hours. The juice will be bubbling along the sides of the crockpot.
- Let cool slightly and serve.
- Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce to the top.

Ingredients:
- 6 cups apples, peeled and sliced (Gala is preferred)
- ⅓ cup light brown sugar
- 1 TBSP all-purpose flour
- 1 TBSP lemon juice
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp kosher salt
- Dash of ground nutmeg
- 1¼ cup flour
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 8TBSP (1 stick) butter, cut into cubes
How to cook:
- Spray slow cooker with nonstick spray.
- Add apples to slow cooker.
- Add brown sugar, flour, lemon juice, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg. Stir to combine.
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, brown sugar, ½ tsp cinnamon, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Add butter chunks and combine with fingers or pastry cutter until mixture is crumbly.
- Sprinkle crumbly flour mixture over apples, and pat down with fingers.
- Place a clean dishtowel over slow cooker, and add slow cooker lid on top of the dishtowel.
- Cover and cook on high 2½ hours.
- Uncover and cook about an hour more, or until topping is set and apples are to desired softness.
