- 8 slices extra-thin white bread (Pepperidge Farm would work well.)
- 1 1/4 cups Jif crunchy peanut butter or 1 1/4 cups extra-crunchy peanut butter
- 1 lb sliced bacon

- Top with four remaining bread slices and trim crusts.

- Place cubes on rack of a broiler pan.

Ingredients:
- 1 pound(s) bacon
- 5 slice(s) italian bread
- 5 tablespoon(s) peanut butter
How to cook:
- Cut each slice of bacon in half.
- Spread each slice of rich italian bread with about 1 tablespoon of peanut butter. Cut each slice into about 9 squares.
- Wrap each cube with half a slice of bacon. Place about 5 cubes on a wooden skewer. Place on baking sheet.
- Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes or until bacon is crisp.

It is a tasty combination, and makes a good sandwich. My husband likes dark toast with peanut butter and bacon! I thought that was wierd, but now I love them except I don't like burnt toast. This time I tried it on a Ezekiel Sprouted Grain Tortilla. Served with a tangerine, and a cup of hot soup, I had a wholesome lunch. I'm recording this recipe for a family cookbook for the grandson and granddaughter.
