  4. Spread the mayo mixture on top fo the salmon.
  5. Broil in the oven for 3-5 minutes and keep an eye on the salmon. The mayo will bubble. Then, shut the broiler off and set the oven to 400 degrees F.
  6. Move the salmon to the middle oven rack. Let finish cooking for another 10-13 minutes in the oven.
  7. Salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork or is at least 145 degrees F when measured with an instant read thermometer.

Baked Salmon with a Lemon Mayo Glaze
This salmon has a well-seasoned, tangy crust and it's just right and way too easy to make!

Prep time: 10 minutes
Yields: 6 servings
Cuisine: Varies by season $14-$20
Number of ingredients: 8
Ingredients:
  • 2 lbs fresh salmon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp paprika
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 lemon (sliced)
How to cook:
  1. How to Make the Best Oven Roasted Salmon:
  2. Preheat the Oven to 350˚F for 20 min. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  3. In a small ramekin, combine 1/2 tsp salt, 1/8 tsp sugar, 1/8 tsp black pepper, 1/8 tsp garlic powder, 1/8 tsp paprika and mix. Sprinkle the top of your salmon evenly with your seasoning mix.
  4. Spread with a thin layer of mayo. It really just needs a little. Don't slather it on. A little goes a long way with Mayo. Top with slices of lemon. Cover with foil and bake at 350˚F for 20 min. Remove foil and broil a 3 minutes or so to get a nice golden crust on the top.
Notes: Foil-baked Whole Fresh Salmon with Green Herb Mayonnaise, It's also probably the easiest thing to cook for a large number of people with absolutely no hassle. The best accompaniment is a sweet, very green mayonnaise
