- 1 medium red onion
- 3 Tbsp taco seasoning mix packet

- 3 cups reduced sodium vegetable broth
- 2 cans (15.5 oz. each) whole kernel corn
- 1 can (15 oz.) crushed tomatoes

- Heat oil in stockpot over medium heat. Add onion, cook and stir until they begin to soften, about 3 minutes.

- 2 lbs lean ground round beef
- 3 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 small yellow onion, chopped
- 1 small green pepper, chopped
- 1 can (14.5 oz) tomatoes
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 1-1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- cinnamon, to taste
How to cook:
- Brown ground beef in heavy Dutch oven or soup pot.
- Add chili powder and mix well. Add onion and pepper to meat and cook for 2 minutes. Drain off excess grease.
- Stir in remaining ingredients. Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
