  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons milk powder
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika

  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 4 hamburger buns (toasted with butter)
  • 12 dill pickle chips
  • 4 green leaf lettuce leaves
  • 2 large tomatoes (sliced into rings)

How to cook:
  1. In a shallow dish whisk the eggs with the milk, set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, with cayenne, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
  3. In a different dish, combine the flour with milk powder, baking powder, and the spice mix.
  4. To create a shaggy crust/crumbles, add 2 tablespoons of the egg milk mixture to the dry flour mixture, and rub with your fingertips until the flour mixture is coarse.
  5. Preheat the oil in a Dutch oven or a deep fryer to 350°F (180°C) degrees.
  6. To coat the chicken, dip each chicken cutlet in the egg milk mixture, and allow any excess to drip off then dredge in the flour mixture and press down firmly for the flour mixture to adhere.
  7. Gently shake off any excess and slowly drop in hot oil. Repeat with the remaining chicken cutlets, and fry for 4 minutes. The chicken is ready when the internal temperature registers at 165°F (74°C) degrees. If shallow frying, fry for 3-4 minutes on each side and check the internal temperature with an instant read thermometer.
  8. Transfer to a wire rack and top with cheese (American, Colby Jack, or Pepper Jack).
  9. To assemble, toast the hamburger buns, spread the chick-fil-a sauce on both sides of the bun. Top with pickles, lettuce, 2 tomato slices, fried chicken, and cheese. Close sandwich and serve with waffle potato fries.

How to cook:
  1. Air Fryer Chik-fil-A Chicken Sandwich
  2. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil. Set aside.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in a large plastic storage bag. Pound the chicken till they are about 1/2 inch thick. Then cut each breast in half so you have 4 pieces. The chicken will go back into the storage back along with the pickle juice to brine for 30 minutes.
  4. Cut the breast into 4 pieces about 3 inches each.
  5. Place the chicken back in a plastic storage bag. To the bag, add the pickle juice and water. Seal the bag and place in the refrigerator to marinate about 30 minutes.
  6. In a medium-size mixing bowl, add eggs and milk, whisk until well combined, about 1 minute.
  7. In a separate bowl, mix together the dry ingredients: flour, confectioners sugar, cornstarch, paprika, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  8. Coat the chicken in the egg mixture, then the flour mixture.
  9. Place coated chicken in the prepared air fryer basket. Spray the chicken with a quick spritz of non-stick cooking spray.
  10. Cook the chicken for 6 minutes at 340°F/170.°C. Flip the chicken and cook for an additional 6 minutes at 400°F/204.444°C. The chicken will be cooked and the internal temperature should be 165°F/74°C. Use a meat thermometer to verify chicken is completely cooked.
  11. Place the chicken on the hamburger bun with three slices of dill pickles. Add favorite toppings such as lettuce, tomato, and chick-fil a sauce. Enjoy!
  12. Baked Chik-fil-A Chicken Sandwich
  13. Preheat oven to 450°F/232°C. Place a wire rack on a baking sheet. Spray with non-stick spray. Set aside.
  14. Follow Steps 2-7
  15. Spray the coated chicken with the oil or non-stick spray and place on the wired wrack.
  16. Bake in the preheated oven about 12 minutes, flip the chicken and bake another 12-15 minutes. Internal temperature of the chicken will be165°F when cooked through. (Use an internal meat thermometer to ensure the chicken is cooked through)

How to cook:
  1. Start by trimming the fat off the chicken sandwiches and then slice the breasts in half.
