Ingredients:
  • 1 lb. Chicken breast
  • 1 piece Knorr Chicken Cube
  • 1.3 oz. Sotanghon
  • 1 ½ cups malunggay leaves
  • 1 piece sayote (sliced)
  • 1 piece onion (chopped)
  • 8 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 8 cups water
  • Patis and ground black pepper to taste

How to cook:
  1. Boil water in a cooking pot. Add chicken. Cover and continue boiling for 18 minutes. Remove chicken from the pot and let it cool down. Save the chicken stock for later.
  2. Separate the bone from the meat and then shred. Set shredded chicken aside.
  3. Heat oil in a cooking pot. Add crushed garlic right away. Continue cooking the garlic until it turns light brown.
  4. Add onion. Sauté until it softens.
  5. Add sayote. Cook for 1 minute.
  6. Put shredded chicken into the pot and pour-in chicken stock. Cover the pot and let the liquid boil.
  7. Add Knorr Chicken Cube. Stir and add the sotanghon noodles. Cook until noodles are soft.
  8. Add malunggay leaves. Cook for 1 minute.
  9. Season with patis and ground black pepper. Transfer to a serving bowl. Share and enjoy!

  • 3/4 pound chicken breast
  • 8 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 6 big cloves garlic (- minced finely)
  • 1 medium onion (- chopped)
  • 3-4 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 chicken broth cube
  • 1-2 teaspoons achuete powder
  • 1 big carrot (- julienned)
  • 3 1/2 ounces sotanghon noodles
  • 2 cups cabbage (- cut into thin strips)
  • 5-6 eggs ((hard boiled))
  • 1/2 cup green onion (- chopped)

How to cook:
  1. In a large pot, boil chicken in 8 cups of water until cooked. Remove chicken from broth and cut into slices about a half inch thick. Set the chicken and broth aside.
  2. In a large pot over medium-low heat, heat oil. Set about a tablespoon of minced garlic aside. Add the rest of the garlic to the oil and cook until browned. Remove fried garlic from oil and transfer to a small bowl.
  3. In the same oil, add onions, garlic and cook until limp. Add the chicken, fish sauce ground pepper and cook for about 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Add chicken broth and chicken broth cube and bring to a boil.
  5. In a small bowl, combine about ½ cup of the hot broth and achuete powder. Stir until achuete is dissolved. Add achuete water to the pot.
  6. Add carrots and cook for about 1 to 2 minutes or until half done. Add sotanghon noodles. When noodles have slightly softened, add cabbage and cook for another 1-2 minutes or until noodles are cooked and vegetables are tender yet crisp.
  7. Ladle soup into bowls and top with boiled eggs, fried garlic, and green onions. Serve while hot.

Ingredients:
  • 6 oz bean thread noodles ((Chinese vermicelli noodles, sotanghon noodles)*)
  • 1 ½ Tablespoon grape seed oil (, or other neutral flavored cooking oil)
  • 4 garlic cloves (, minced)
  • 1 Tablespoon minced fresh ginger
  • 1 medium onion (, chopped (about 1 ½ cups))
  • 1 pound skinless chicken breast cutlets, (or about 2 cups shredded cooked chicken)
  • 1 ½ cup shiitake mushrooms (, thinly sliced)
  • 10 cups homemade chicken stock (*)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • freshly ground black pepper (, to season)
  • chopped green onions (, as needed to garnish)
How to cook:
  1. Submerge dried bean thread noodles in warm water. Let soak for 10-15 minutes until softened.
  2. Heat oil in a stock pot or large pot over medium-high heat. Once warm, add garlic and ginger. Stir often and cook until fragrant, about 30-45 seconds. Add onions and stir to combine.
  3. Once onions are almost translucent, about 2 minutes, add raw chicken. (Skip if using cooked chicken.) Cook until chicken registers at least 165 degrees F. Turn chicken as needed to cook evenly, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add mushrooms and cook for 2 minutes. Stir as needed to ensure onions do not burn at the bottom of the pot.
  5. Add chicken broth. Remove cooked chicken and place on plate or cutting board to cool. Bring broth to a boil. Let boil for about 2 minutes. Reduce heat to a simmer.
  6. Shred cooled chicken using two forks. Add shredded chicken to stock pot. Season broth with salt. Taste. Add more salt, as needed.
  7. Drain soaked noodles. Add to pot. Stir to distribute. Bring soup back to a boil. Let boil for 2 minutes. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for another 3-5 minutes.
  8. Ladle soup and noodles into serving bowls. Season with black pepper or white pepper according to taste. Garnish with chopped green onions.

Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 lb. chicken (cut into serving pieces)
  • 1 piece Knorr Chicken Cube
  • 2 stalks lemongrass (chopped)
  • 1 piece red onion (sliced)
  • 8 pieces Thai chili pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 thumbs ginger
  • 1 tablespoon patis
  • 1/2 cup green onions (sliced)
  • 2 ounces sotanghon
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil
How to cook:
  1. Combine garlic, onion, ginger, lemongrass, and chili. Crush the ingredients using a mortar and pestle tool or a food processor. Set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a cooking pot. Saute the crushed ingredients for 1 minute.
  3. Add chicken. Saute until outer part turns light brown.
  4. Pour-in water. Let boil.
  5. Add Knorr Chicken Cube. Cover the pot. Continue cooking using low to medium heat for 30 minutes.
  6. Add sotanghon. Cook for 3 minutes.
  7. Add green onions and season with patis and ground white pepper.
  8. Transfer to a serving bowl. Serve.
  9. Share and enjoy!
