  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (57 grams, melted (½ stick))

  • ½ cup heavy cream (114 grams)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (6 grams)
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract (8 grams)
  • 1 cup pure maple syrup (312 grams, divided)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (114 grams)
  • Frosting from the cinnamon rolls (warmed)

How to cook:
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F
  2. Grease
  3. Pour the melted butter into a 9x13-inch (3-quart) baking pan and spread to coat.
  4. Cut the dough into 8 rounds (if it's not already segmented into rounds) and place the cinnamon rolls into the bottom of the baking dish. Set icing aside.
  5. Beat
  6. In a medium bowl, beat the eggs. Add in the cream, cinnamon, and vanilla until well blended.
  7. Pour the egg mixture over the rolls; it's okay if it completely covers the roll

  10. Bake for 25 minutes, or until golden brown.

  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla

How to cook:
  1. Bake cinnamon rolls according to package directions. Set aside and let cool. Do not frost.
  2. Once slightly cooled, flatten slightly with hand.
  3. Mix egg, milk, sugar, and vanilla into a shallow bowl.
  4. Grease skillet or griddle with butter or nonstick spray.
  5. Dip cinnamon roll into egg mixture, coating both sides and place onto greased skillet.
  6. Heat on both sides, about 2-3 minutes each, until golden brown.
  7. Place icing into a reusable plastic bag and drizzle in a swirl shape on top of the French toast. (NOTE: If you want pretty swirls, let the cinnamon rolls fully cool before adding the icing.)
