This is NOTHING like canned creamed corn! My husband is not a fan of corn or creamed dishes, but he thinks this is great. Easy and quick to prepare and is an especially delicious side dish for chicken or pork. Everyone always asks for the recipe.

- 2 (10 ounce) packages frozen corn kernels, thawed
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Cook stirring over medium heat until the mixture is thickened, and corn is cooked through. Remove from heat, and stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted. Serve hot.

- 12 Ears of Corn
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- 2 Tablespoons Flour
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- Salt and Pepper to taste
How to cook:
- Remove shucks, clean and silk the corn as needed.
- Stand ear of corn on end inside a large bowl.
- Cut halfway through the kernels of corn, slicing off with a sharp knife.
- Using the back of knife, scrape out the remaining corn from each ear of corn.
- Place butter in a skillet, over medium heat on your stove top.
- Add corn.
- Add sugar.
- Add Salt.
- Add Black Pepper, to taste.
- Stir and let cook until corn tastes done.
- Mix 2 Tablespoons flour with 2 Tablespoons of water.
- Pour flour-water mixture into corn.
- Let cook for several minutes, until mixture thickens.

- Shuck corn and pull off silks, then rinse under cool running water. In a large bowl, cut the corn from the cob with a sharp knife. Scrap up the cob with a spoon to get the milk.
- Combine flour, sugar, salt and pepper in a bowl, then add 1 1/2 cups of water. Stir with a fork or whisk or combine.
- Melt butter over medium-low heat in a large, heavy bottomed skillet. Add corn and flour mixture and cook over medium-low heat for 40-45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
