  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • ΒΌ cup distilled white vinegar
  • 6 cups water
  • 8 eggs

How to cook:
  1. Combine the salt, vinegar, and water in a large pot, and bring to a boil over high heat. Add the eggs one at a time, being careful not to crack them. Reduce the heat to a gentle boil, and cook for 14 minutes.
  2. Once the eggs have cooked, remove them from the hot water, and place into a container of ice water or cold, running water. Cool completely, about 15 minutes. Store in the refrigerator up to 1 week.

  • 3 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 eggs (I've made up to a dozen with this method)
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar

How to cook:
  1. Place three cups of water in the pot, or enough to cover the eggs.
  2. Add salt to the water to help keep the eggshells from cracking too soon. Add vinegar to water in the pot to make eggshells easier to peel.

  4. Bring water to a boil. When the water is boiling, remove pan from heat and cover.
  5. In another bowl place three cups of cold water and some ice.

  • Large pot
  • Water
  • 2 tbsp Vinegar
  • pinch Salt
  • Ice
  • 6 Eggs
How to cook:
  1. Place eggs in a large pot in a single layer.
  2. Fill the pot with enough water to submerge the eggs by an inch.
  3. Stir in 2 tablespoons of vinegar and a pinch of salt. Bring the water to a boil.
  4. Use a skimmer, strainer, or slotted spoon and lower your eggs into the pot.
  5. Time the eggs according to your desired doneness. Soft-boiled eggs will need between 6-7 minutes of cooking.
