Ingredients:
  • 1 box Duncan Hines® Classic Yellow Cake Mix™
  • 1 large box Jell-O® Lemon Pudding Mix™
  • 4 eggs
  • ¾ c Wesson Oil™
  • ¾ c 7 Up®
  • vanilla extract
How to cook:
  1. Put cake mix in large bowl. Add 1 large box Jell-O Lemon Pudding Mix. Mix well, then add eggs, and beat well. Add Wesson Oil, 7 Up, and vanilla extract. Stir to combine. Pour in Bundt or tube pan. Bake at 325º for 40 to 45 minutes. Allow to cool. Note: Create quick glaze by placing ½ cup of Duncan Hines® Creamy Home-style Vanilla Frosting™ in small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH (100% power) for 10 to 20 seconds. Stir mixture until smooth and thin. Pour over cake while still warm.

  • 1 large box Jell-O lemon pudding mix

  • 3/4 cup Wesson oil
  • 3/4 cup 7 Up
  • Vanilla extract

  • TOPPING:
  • 1 (18 ounce) box strawberry cake mix (I prefer Duncan Hines)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup cooking oil (not olive oil)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup carbonated lemon-lime beverage, drink (7-Up is best)
  • 1 (3 ounce) box strawberry Jell-O
  • 3/4 cup boiling water
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons sugar, or to taste
  • 3/4 cup cold water
  • 3 -4 cups fresh sliced strawberries (or one 1-pound package frozen strawberries, drained very well)
  • Cool Whip Topping, thawed
How to cook:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  3. Mix all of the cake ingredients together in a bowl; beat well until smooth (about 3 minutes).
  4. Pour cake batter to the prepared baking pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until cake tests done.
  5. Cool, and invert (turn over) cake onto a tray large enough to hold the cake.
  6. To make the topping: Dissolve the jello powder completely in boiling water, with the sugar, then add in the COLD water; mix well.
  7. Poke holes all over cake with a straw.
  8. Drizzle the jello over entire top of cake. Place the strawberries slices evenly over and covering all the cake.
  9. Refrigerate cake for 2 or more hours.
  10. Just before serving, top cake with Cool Whip topping.
