  • ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 (8 ounce) package farfalle (bow tie) pasta
  • 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

How to cook:
  1. Warm olive oil in a small frying pan over low heat. Slowly cook garlic in oil until golden, about 2 to 3 minutes. Be very careful not to burn garlic. Stir in lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Meanwhile, cook pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water. About 5 minutes before pasta is done, drop broccoli into the pasta water. Continue to cook until pasta is cooked and broccoli is crisp-tender. Drain.
  3. Toss pasta, broccoli, and lemon sauce in a large bowl. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

  • 1 pound bow tie pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 15 oz petite diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • salt & pepper (to taste)
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2/3 cup parmesan cheese (hand grated )
  • .5 oz fresh basil leaves (chopped)

How to cook:
  1. Bring large pot of salted water to boil. Cook bowtie pasta until al dente and drain. Set aside.
  2. While pasta is cooking heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook garlic for 30 seconds to 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in can of diced tomatoes with sugar, salt and pepper. Simmer gently for 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and reduce heat to low.
  5. Sprinkle in parmesan cheese and stir to melt. Taste and adjust seasonings. It may need more sugar and/or salt, depending how acidic your tomatoes were.
  6. Add hot pasta and stir to coat in sauce. Add chopped basil and stir.
  7. Serve immediately.

  • 8 oz Bow Tie Pasta | Farfalle pasta
  • 1 cup mushrooms (chopped | I used baby Portabella's any type will work)
  • 2 tablespoons butter or olive oil | either works great!
  • 1/4 cup sundried tomatoes | in oil or dry (julienne cut)
  • 1 3/4 cups chicken broth or water
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream | sub with half and half (not fat free)
  • 1/4 cup Prosecco | dry sparkling wine (replace with dry white wine or additional broth.)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/3-1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated or shredded)

How to cook:
  1. Turn on Instant pot
  2. Turn Instant Pot (IP) to the "Saute" mode and allow it to heat until it reads "HOT"!
  3. Sauté mushrooms
  4. Add butter or olive oil to IP and allow to melt, then toss in chopped mushrooms and saute until soft, a few minutes. Turn off IP.
  5. Pour in broth (or water), scraping the bottom of the pan to release any bits, this is called deglazing the pan.
  6. Add seasonings, cream and Prosecco
  7. Add garlic, pepper, onion powder, heavy cream and Prosecco, give it all a quick stir.
  8. Pour in bow tie pasta, pressing down lightly with wooden spoon until evenly distributed and most of it is under liquid.
  9. Cook
  10. Close IP lid, lock and secure (close vent) and set to Manual/Pressure Cook for 4 minutes. It takes about 5 minutes to come to pressure, allow for a 4-5 minute natural release (longer if at altitude), then release the rest of the steam, carefully.
  11. Sundried Tomatoes and Parmesan
  12. Stir in sundried tomatoes and Parmesan cheese, the sauce will thicken as it cools. If desired, sprinkle with some chopped Italian parsley or fresh basil.
  13. Store up to 7 days
  14. I do not recommend freezing a cream based recipe like this, but this does store well in the fridge up to 7 days. See below for reheating instructions.
  15. This recipe may be doubled, if making in the instant pot, if too watery when you release the pressure, simply turn IP to simmer and stir until desired thickness.

  • 1 box bowtie pasta
  • 1 bulb garlic, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 handful parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese (more for topping, if desired)
How to cook:
  1. 1. Boil pasta and drain, reserving about 1 cup of pasta water.
  2. 2. In a large skillet brown garlic in butter and olive oil.
  3. 3. Once the garlic is softened toss it in with the bowties.
  4. 4. Sprinkle in parsley, salt, and parmesan, add in pasta water until all pasta is dressed.
