  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 4 large carrots (chopped large)
  • 4 medium potatoes (chopped large)
  • 1-2 sticks celery (finely chopped)
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 cups vegetables (your choice, canned (see notes))
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Italian seasoning (optional)

How to cook:
  1. Saute
  2. Turn on the sauté option of your Instant Pot. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil and add 1 finely chopped onion and 2 cloves minced garlic. Stir for about 1-2 minutes, until translucent. Add 1 pound ground beef and cook until browned, stirring from time to time.
  3. Stir in 1-2 sticks chopped celery, 4 large chopped carrots, 4 medium chopped potatoes, 1 tablespoon tomato paste, and 1 14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes.

  5. Add 4 cups beef broth, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 2 bay leaves, and salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning (if using) to taste.Stir in canned vegetables.

  7. Close the lid and make sure the valve is in the Sealing position. Turn to Manual on high pressure and set the time to 8 minutes.When 8 minutes is up, let the pressure release naturally. If you are in a rush, wait 10 minutes, then carefully release it manually.Carefully open the lid. Stir, serve, and enjoy!

How to cook:
  1. Turn on the Instant Pot’s saute feature and add ground beef to the pot. Saute for 1 minute and then add onion. Cook for an additional 2 minutes using a spatula to break up the ground beef.
  2. Next, add the rest of the ingredients, stir well, and place cover on the Instant Pot.
  3. Turn pressure valve to seal, and turn to manual >> high pressure and set the timer to 3 minutes.* It will take around 20 minutes for the Instant Pot to build up pressure to start counting down from 3 minutes.
  4. When the timer goes off, quick release the pressure and remove the top. Serve immediately.*

How to cook:
  1. Add the olive oil, onion, and celery to your Instant Pot. Press the sauté button and cook for 4 minutes.
  2. Stir in the beef and garlic. Cook until the beef has browned, stirring occasionally (about 5 minutes). You shouldn't need to drain much fat if you're using extra lean ground beef, but feel free to drain some/most of it if desired (I didn't drain any).
  3. Stir in the tomato paste, then add in the diced tomatoes, beef broth, potatoes, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Close the lid, make sure the valve is on "sealing", press the "manual" button and cook on high pressure for 8 minutes.
  5. Once the countdown has finished, carefully do a quick pressure release.
  6. Season with salt & pepper as needed and serve immediately.

How to cook:
  1. Fry the ground beef and onions together in the metal cooking pot in your Instant Pot using the "saute" function on your Instant Pot until the ground beef is cooked and the onions are translucent. Add in the garlic and fry until brown. Drain the fat.
  2. Stir in the tomatoes, tomato soup, beef broth, bay leaves, thyme, frozen vegetables and pepper.
  3. To cook immediately, press the soup button, seal the Instant Pot, close the vent and cook for 45 minutes. Let it naturally release - you can manually release but for safety's sake I don't recommend it.
  4. Remove the bay leaves. Stir in the cooked macaroni and let it warm up. Ladle into bowls and serve.
