  • 2 cups Buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 Tablespoon sea salt
  • 1 Teaspoon garlic powder

How to cook:
  1. Mix the buttermilk, oil, sea salt, and garlic powder in a large baggie.
  2. Add the whole chicken and marinate for 24 hours up to two days.
  3. Remove the chicken and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Truss the chicken by removing the wings, tying the legs, and tying the around the chicken to hold the thighs in place.
  5. Place chicken on the rotisserie spit and inset into the air fryer oven.
  6. Set the air fryer oven to 380 degrees and air fry with rotate turned on for 50 minutes or until the chicken is a dark brown and internal temperature measures 165 degrees (measure at the meatiest part of the thigh).
  7. Remove the chicken using the removal tool and, using hot pads or gloves, carefully remove the chicken from the spit.

Ingredients:
  • 3 lb tied whole chicken (do not try this with any larger than 4 pounds)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary whole
  • 1 whole lemon, quartered
  • 3 cloves garlic, halved
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 spring rosemary - leaves only

How to cook:
  1. In a small bowl, combine the rub ingredients. Set aside.
  2. Place the chicken on a clean cutting board.
  3. Ensure the cavity of the chicken is clean.
  4. Stuff the chicken cavity with the lemon, garlic, and rosemary.
  5. Tie your chicken with twine if needed.
  6. Pat the chicken dry.
  7. Drizzle with olive oil, and using a brush, coat the entire chicken.
  8. Shake the rub on the chicken and rub in until the chicken is covered.
  9. Insert the rotisserie rod through the chicken.
  10. Insert the rotisserie forks (one on each side) to secure the rod to the chicken.
  11. Set your vortex to 375°F, on either the roast or Air Fry setting. Air Fry setting gets you a crispier skin. Set time for 40 minutes. Check the temp in 5 minute increments after the 40 minutes.
  12. Let the vortex pre heat. When it beeps and "add food" comes on the screen load your chicken.
  13. Press the red lever on your Instant vortex down and load the left side of the rod into the vortex.
  14. Slide the left side along the metal bar and into the groove so it doesn't move.
  15. Close the door.
  16. At 40 minutes, check the temp every 5 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F in the breast, or 185°F in the thigh.
  17. Remove from the vortex using the Y tool provided. See first image in the post. Don't forget to use the red lever to release the rod.
  18. Let the chicken rest, covered, for 5-10 minutes. Don't skip this step, it is important for a moist chicken.
  19. Slice and serve!

  • 2 lb top sirloin roast.
  • Coarse Salt
  • Freshly ground Pepper
  • Italian seasoning (or just simply use oregano )

How to cook:
  1. Using paper towel, pat the roast dry.
  2. Season the roast on all sides with salt, pepper and Italian seasoning. You want to be quite liberal in your seasoning

  4. Push the rotisserie rod the center of the roast the best you can. Slide it along the rod so the roast is centered on the rod.
  5. Slide the prong attachments on each side of the rod so they are securely in each end of the roast. Use the screws on the prongs to tighten the prongs onto the rod.
  6. Press the red lever and load the roast into the left side of the vortex. Once secured, secure the right side as well.
  7. Shut the door. Set the vortex to 300F for 45 minutes on ROAST. Check the temperature after 45 minutes.
  8. Press rotate button on the program screen to have the rotisserie rod start to rotate.
  9. After 45 minutes, you want to keep an eye on the temperature of the roast using an instant read thermometer. Cook time will be highly variable depending on size of the roast and doneness preference. 130°F for pink and warm medium-rare140°F for medium150°F for medium well 160°F for well done (very little moisture will be left)
  10. After desired temperature is reached, remove the roast, cover with foil and allow to rest for 10 minutes.
  11. After the rest period, slice the roast against the grain into slices, and serve.
