Smoked Maple Old Fashioned
This smoked maple old fashioned cocktail is the perfect smoky drink for fall and winter. It's warming and filled with amazing flavor, using smoked maple bourbon and pure maple syrup. Delicious!

Ingredients:
  • 1 lemon rind spiral
  • 1/2 ounce maple syrup
  • 2 to 3 drops angostura bitters
  • 2 to 3 ounces smoked maple bourbon whiskey
  • cinnamon stick (if desired)
How to cook:
  1. Use a kitchen torch to light the lemon or orange rind and place it in a glass, covering the top for a minute or two. Remove the rind, run it along the rim of the glass and add an ice cube.
  2. Add a few drops of bitters, then add the maple syrup. Add in the bourbon. Stir, add the cinnamon stick and serve.

  • 3 oz apple cider

  • 1/2 lime, juiced

Notes: Kentucky Straight Smoked Maple, I love Knob Creek and the maple opening flavor is awesome but way too sweet !! I wonder if you are adding Maple Syrup to the recipe. It's Dessert.

  • 2-3 Dashes of Bitters
  • Small Pinch of Raw Sugar
  • Garnish: Orange Slice, Cherries
How to cook:
  1. In a mixing glass, gently muddle the sugar and bitters until sugar is dissolved. Add ice and bourbon and stir until well chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a cherry and orange slice.

This is a great drink in my opinion, take your time to enjoy it. I used Knob Creek smoked maple & Canada Dry, but my friend has used Wild turkey and she thinks its better. Use whatever you like :)

Ingredients:
  • 4 ounce(s) good quality bourbon of your choice
  • 4 ounce(s) ginger ale
  • - crushed ice
  • - lemon/lime wedge (opt.)
How to cook:
  1. In two insulated tumblers, or two glasses, fill with crushed ice.
  2. Pour Bourbon over ice. Top with ginger ale. (divide liquids to about 2 oz of each per glass. example 2oz bourbon, 2oz ale.)
  3. Optional: Squeeze in lime or lemon juice. Or dip glass rim in lime juice then turbinado sugar, next proceed with Step 1.
