  • About 1/2 lb (250g) Shaved Steak
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 2 tbsp. Butter
  • ½ Onion, sliced
  • 2 Bagels
  • 2 Cheddar Cheese Slices
  • 2 Eggs

How to cook:
  1. Season the shaved steak with garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet iron (or other oven proof skillet) to medium-high heat and add the butter to it. Add the onions and cook them until browned.
  3. Remove the onions from the skillet and add the steak to it. Cook for 1-2 minutes, then flip and cook for another minute until browned. Add to the plate of onions and clean the skillet.
  4. Toast the bagels.
  5. Grease the skillet and add the eggs to it. Cook until solid, then flip and cook for another minute to make an omlette.
  6. Top bagels with the steak and onions, egg, and cheese slices and cover with the lid, so the cheese melts - you can also transfer the skillet to the oven, so the cheese melts quickly.

Steak, Egg, and Cheese Bagel

Ingredients:
  • 2 ounces (4 tablespoons) unsalted butter, divided
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt, divided
  • 1/2 pound shaved steak
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 plain bagels
  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • Steak sauce, optional
How to cook:
  1. Gather your ingredients.
  2. Melt a tablespoon of the butter in a small, nonstick pan or skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and 1/4 teaspoon of the salt to the pan and sauté until just softened and lightly browned.
  3. Meanwhile, toss the shaved steak with the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and some of the ground black pepper.
  4. Transfer the onion to a plate. Increase the heat to high and add the shaved steak to the pan in one even layer. Cook, without stirring, for 2 minutes or until the steak is browned. Stir and continue to cook until completely cooked through. Transfer the steak to the plate with the onion. Cover to keep warm.
  5. Toast the bagels, then spread 1 tablespoon of the butter over the 4 halves.
  6. Melt 2 tablespoons of the butter in the pan over low heat. Add half of the beaten eggs and cook, gently stirring, with a rubber spatula to expose the raw egg to the bottom of the pan to create an omelet.
  7. Once the omelet is cooked through, fold it in half with the rubber spatula.
  8. Then, fold the omelet in half once more and top with 2 slices of the cheese.
  9. Repeat with the remaining eggs and cheese.
  10. Divide the steak and onion between 2 of the bagel halves. Top each with the eggs and cheese, then cover with the remaining bagel halves.
  11. Eat immediately. Serve with steak sauce for dipping or spooning over the top, if desired.

Ingredients:
  • 2 cube steaks, cut in half
  • 1 medium yellow onion, sliced thin
  • 3 TBS butter
  • 1 TBS steak sauce
  • salt & pepper, to taste
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 TBS milk
  • salt & pepper, to season eggs
  • 4 bagels, toasted
  • mayonnaise, for bagels
  • butter, for bagels
  • 4 slices American cheese
How to cook:
  1. In a large deep skillet over medium high heat, add butter and onions. Season with salt & pepper. Saute for 3-4 minutes until softened and slightly browned. Push onions to one side of the pan and add an additional TBS of butter and melt on the empty side of pan.
  2. Cut cube steaks in half to equal 4 parts. Sprinkle with salt & pepper. Drizzle steak sauce over steaks. Place steaks season side down on the melted butter in skillet. Season the top side now with salt & pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Flip over the steaks, mix in the onions, and cook an additional 4-5 minutes until the steaks are browned and no longer pink in the middle. Remove steaks and onions from skillet onto a plate and cover with foil to keep warm.
  3. To cook Eggs
  4. In same skillet heat an additional 2 TBS butter. In medium bowl, whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper to taste. Pour egg mixture into hot skillet over melted butter. Let set for 30 seconds and start pulling the eggs toward the center of skillet using spatula. Pull the wet eggs into the empty spaces in skillet to cook. Divide eggs into 4 sections and flip over. Turn off heat and place one pieces of cheese on top of each egg section and allow to melt.NOTE: This will give you a solid sheet of egg to help sit on your bagel instead of crumbled scrambled eggs.
  5. Toast bagels. On bottom toasted bagel slice spread with mayonnaise. Place one piece of steak and some onions on top of the mayonnaise. Top with one egg section with melted cheese. Butter top portion of toasted bagel and place it on top of the egg. Cut bagel sandwich in half and enjoy.
