How to cook:
  1. Take condensed milk, vanilla & cocoa powder in a large bowl. Whisk it until it comes together. If it feels too thick to whisk then you can warm up for 20-30 seconds in a microwave.
  2. Now add graham cracker crumbs. Start whisking and halfway through switch to a spatula. It will come together like dough.
  3. Grease the 8x8 inch square pan lightly with cooking oil spray or butter. Then line it with parchment paper.
  4. Now transfer the brownie dough into the prepared pan, press it with your hands and spread it evenly. Chill in the refrigerator while you’re making ganache topping.
  5. Take heavy cream and butter in a bowl. Heat it until it just starts to boil. I have done that in a microwave. You can do it on the stovetop in a saucepan. Whisk the butter and cream together.
  6. Add chocolate chips and let it sit for few minutes. Let the chocolate melt and soften.
  7. Now start whisking. In the beginning, it doesn’t look good and you may feel that something went wrong. But trust me, keep whisking until it becomes smooth and shiny.
  8. Pour it over brownies. Sprinkle some chopped walnuts.
  9. Again chill it for at least 2 hours. Then slice into 16 pieces and enjoy.

Sweetened Condensed Milk Brownies

Sweetened Condensed Milk Brownies
Take box brownies up a notch with the simple addition of sweetened condensed milk!
Provided by: Jenny Barrett
Total time: 55 minutes
Cook time: 45 minutes
Prep time: 10 minutes
Yields: 12 servings
Number of ingredients: 7
Ingredients:
  • 1 package brownie mix (18.3 oz)
  • 3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • flaky sea salt, to taste
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons coffee
  • 2/3 cup vegetable or canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
How to cook:
  1. Line an 8x8 metal baking pan with aluminum foil, and liberally spray the bottom and sides of pan with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mix brownie mix, eggs, oil, vanilla, and coffee until batter is smooth and contains few to no lumps. Be sure to scrape the bottom of the bowl to incorporate all of the dry brownie mix.
  3. Pour the batter into prepared pan and, if desired, sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
  4. Measure out 1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk, and pour oven the batter in a large, curved shape (like a 5 or W). Avoid pouring the milk too close to the edges of the pan. Then use a knife to swirl the milk into the batter. If desired, add more sweetened condensed milk and repeat the swirling process.
  5. For the richest brownies, cover and refrigerate the pan for at least 24 hours. I have kept brownie batter in the fridge for up to 36 hours before. This step IS optional, but it makes for a richer brownie.
  6. After the refrigeration period, preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Bake brownies for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with some moist crumbs and the surface of the brownies begins to crack. Turn brownies at least once to ensure even baking.
  7. Allow to cool to room temperature before slicing. Then cut and enjoy!
