  • 1 package Duncan Hines® Moist Deluxe® Spice Cake Mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 ¼ cups applesauce
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 container Duncan Hines® Creamy Home-Style Classic Vanilla Frosting
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

How to cook:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour 13x9-inch pan.
  2. Combine cake mix, eggs, applesauce and oil in large bowl. Beat at medium speed with electric mixer for 2 minutes. Stir in nuts. Pour into bake pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool in pan 15 minutes. Invert onto cooling rack. Turn right-side up. Cool completely.
  4. For frosting, combine frosting and cinnamon; stir until blended. Spread over cooled cake.

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • 2 cups fresh apples, peeled and chopped up well in food processor
  • 2 cups applesauce, unsweetened
  • 1 cup coconut, unsweetened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup oil, vegetable
  • 2 ½ cups flour, all-purpose
  • 1 Tbl. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup coconut sugar, can use regular sugar
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. ground allspice
  • ¾ cup golden raisins
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
How to cook:
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the apples, applesauce, coconut eggs and oil. Blend together.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, blend together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar, cinnamon and allspice.
  3. Add the wet ingredients into the dry and blend well. Add the raisins and walnuts and blend into the batter.
  4. Grease a bundt pan well and dust with flour. Put the batter in the pan.
  5. Bake in a preheated 350 oven for 45 to 55 minutes or until a toothpick comes clean from the center.
  6. Remove to a cooling rack. When cool, remove from the bundt pan.

  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • ½ cup Butter (Unsalted)
  • 1½ cups Applesauce
  • 2 Eggs (Large)
  • 1 tsp Baking powder

  • 1½ tsp Cinnamon powder
  • ½ tsp Nutmeg powder

How to cook:
  1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together.
  2. Then, add eggs and mix until thoroughly combined.
  3. Add applesauce and mix again.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon powder and clove powder.
  5. Dump this dry mixture into the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
  6. Don't over-mix!
  7. If you are adding nuts (optional), toss them in some flour and stir them into the cake batter with a spatula.
  8. Pour this batter into2 round greased/floured cake pans (Dimensions: 8x2).
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Once the cakes have cooled down, cover them in saran wrap and freeze overnight (optional but highly recommended).
  11. To assemble the cake, start off by slicing the edges around both the cakes. Place one cake on a cake stand and frost it with cream cheese icing. Drizzle some caramel syrup and then place the other cake on top. Frost the top of this cake with cream cheese icing and drizzle more caramel syrup. Enjoy!

  • 2 c All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda

  • 2 Sticks of Butter, softened
  • 1 c Dark Brown Sugar

  • 2 tbs Vegetable Oil
  • Shortening, to grease cooking pan

How to cook:
  1. Preheat oven to 350℉.
  2. In a mixing bowl combine the dry ingredients - flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, raisins and pecans together.
  3. In a separate mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar. I leave out butter the night before to be perfectly softened for recipes. Next add the eggs and mix together. Finally add the applesauce and vegetable oil and mix to combine.
  4. Add half of the dry ingredients to the wet and mix to combine. Add the remaining dry ingredients and mix until combined.
  5. Grease a cooking pan well with shortening.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and place into preheated oven.
  7. Bake 45-55 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow cake to cool for 10 minutes and remove from cooking pan, then cool completely.
