  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 16 ounce bag mini marshmallows, plus 1 cups mini marshmallows, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt, plus more for sprinkling
  • 2/3 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 8 cups crispy rice cereal

How to cook:
  1. Grease an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Set pan aside.
  2. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the 16 oz bag of mini marshmallows and stir until the marshmallows are completely melted.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla and the sea salt. Add the peanut butter and stir until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Add the cereal and gently stir until the cereal is well coated. Stir in the remaining 1 cup of mini marshmallows.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan. Lightly press the mixture into the pan, using a greased spatula. You can also lightly grease your hands and press the mixture into the pan. Don’t press too hard, you don’t want to pack the treats in the pan, or they will get hard. Sprinkle with a little flaky sea salt.
  6. Let the Rice Krispie Treats cool before cutting, about 1 hour. Cut into squares and serve.

  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1/2 tbsp butter
  • 1/3 cup mini M&Ms
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup peanut butter, smooth
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 1 cup mini M&Ms

How to cook:
  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and peanut butter.
  2. Once they are fully melted stir in the marshmallows.
  3. Continue stirring until marshmallows are melted and then remove from heat.
  4. Add the crispy rice cereal to the saucepan and stir until evenly coated.
  5. Stir in the mini M&Ms.
  6. Press the mixture into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan.
  7. In a microwave safe bowl microwave the chocolate chips and tbsp of butter on high for 45 seconds. Stir well and then drizzle over the squares.
  8. In another microwave safe bowl microwave the peanut butter and 1/2 tbsp of butter on high for 20 seconds. Stir well and drizzle over squares.
  9. Sprinkle the mini M&Ms on top.
  10. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes before slicing.

How to cook:
  1. Melt the butter in a large pan over medium-low heat. Once melted, add the marshmallows. Stir the mixture until the marshmallows are completely melted. Stir in the peanut butter and vanilla.
  2. Remove from heat, then immediately fold in the cereal. Make sure each piece of cereal is coated with the peanut butter/marshmallow mixture.
  3. Transfer mixture to 9 by 13-inch baking pan that has been lined with parchment paper and sprayed with nonstick spray. Gently press the mixture into the pan (lightly spray your hands with non-stick cooking spray to avoid the mixture sticking to your hands). Don’t pack it in too hard.
  4. Put the chocolate chips in a medium-sized heatproof bowl. Microwave for 30-second intervals, stirring in between each interval. When they are almost melted, remove and stir until smooth. Pour the melted chocolate over the mixture and let cool to harden.
  5. Allow treats to set for about an hour at room temperature. Lift the Rice Krispie Treats out of the pan using the parchment paper. Cut into squares.
  6. Cover and store leftover treats at room temperature for up to 3 days. To store, place in layers between sheets of parchment or wax paper.
