Ingredients:
  • 1-1/2 pounds ground fully cooked ham
  • 1 pound ground fresh pork
  • 2 whole eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk (or regular whole milk)
  • 1 cup finely crushed saltine crackers
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 can (8 ounces) crushed pineapple in its own juice, undrained
How to cook:
  1. Make Sauce
  2. Stir all sauce ingredients together in small bowl, set aside.
  3. Ham Loaf
  4. In a large bowl, beat the eggs; add milk, crackers and pepper. Add the ham and pork; mix well.
  5. Shape into a 9 x 4-inch loaf and place in a shallow baking dish.
  6. Pour sauce over loaf.
  7. Bake at 350F degrees until instant read thermometer registers 170F, about 60 to 70 minutes, basting with the sauce frequently. Do not overcook.
  8. Let rest for 10 - 15 minutes, slice and serve.

  • 3/4 pound ground pork
  • 3/4 pound ground ham
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup fine soft bread crumbs
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • Glaze
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar

How to cook:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Combine the ground pork, ground ham, beaten egg, milk, bread crumbs, and salt and pepper as desired until well mixed. Shape into a loaf shape and place in a roasting pan or baking dish.
  3. Combine the brown sugar, mustard, water, and vinegar until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the top of the ham loaf.
  4. Cover the baking dish with foil and place in the oven. Bake at 350 degrees F for one hour and 15 minutes, basting the loaf with the glaze every 15 minutes. Serve hot.
