This essentially Hidden Valley's Ranch Dressing and Seasoning mix. I don't like to use that stuff because (last I checked) it has msg in it.

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup dry buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried onion flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper

How to cook:
  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender.
  2. Blend at high speed until smooth.
  3. If you want to use this to make salad dressing combine 1 tablespoon mix with 1 cup mayonnaise and 1 cup milk.
  4. Otherwise use 1 tablespoon in any recipe calling for an envelope of ranch dressing mix.

Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • All of the above plus ½ cup powdered buttermilk
How to cook:
  1. Ranch seasoning mix
  2. Combine dried minced onion, dried parsley, salt, garlic powder, dried dill and black pepper in a food processor, or in a small bowl with a whisk.
  3. To make salad dressing with this mix, add one tablespoon mix to one cup buttermilk and one cup mayonnaise. Whisk to combine.

  5. Make ranch seasoning mix as described above, then add 1/2 cup powdered buttermilk.
