- 2 cups steel cut oats (no substitution)
- 4 cups water
- 3 cups milk (any variety)
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon melted coconut oil (or cooking spray or butter)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- chopped nuts (for serving)
