  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 12 ounces chopped cooked ham
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ medium head cabbage, cored and chopped
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste

How to cook:
  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ham and onion; cook, stirring occasionally, until onion is translucent, about 8 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
  2. Add cabbage; cook and stir for 5 minutes. Add broth and season with salt and pepper. Cover and cook for 8 minutes.
  3. Uncover and continue to cook until cabbage is tender, about 5 more minutes.

Ingredients:
  • Half a head of cabbage
  • 4 slices of oven roasted ham
  • 1/4 cup of chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt to taste
How to cook:
  1. Cut out center stem of cabbage and then chop cabbage head into 1 inch wide strips. Wash, drain, and set aside.
  2. Cut ham slices into 1/2 inch strips.
  3. Turn wok heat to high and add sesame oil. Put in ham slices and stir fry for a couple minutes to bring out the aroma of the ham.
  4. Add the cabbage and stir fry until cabbage is evenly coated with the sesame oil. Add the chicken broth and then cover wok to let the cabbage steam for 3 minutes.
  5. Uncover to see if the cabbage has softened and turned a nice green color. Salt to taste and stir fry until well combined. Plate and serve.
