  • 6 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 16 ounce bag mini marshmallows, divided
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 6 cups rice krispies cereal
  • 3/4 cup holiday M&M's, divided
  • 1 Tablespoon holiday sprinkles
  • 1/4 cup red candy melts, optional
  • 1/4 cup white candy melts, optional
  • 1/4 cup blue candy melts, optional

How to cook:
  1. Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Once melted, add in all but 1 cup of the marshmallows. Reduce heat to low and continue stirring until completely melted.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla. Add the cereal and the remaining 1 cup of marshmallows.
  4. Gently fold in 1/2 cup of the M&M's and pour mixture into prepared baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining M&M's over the top, and add the sprinkles too, pressing gently.
  6. Allow to set 30 minutes, remove from pan, and cut into squares.
  7. In a microwave safe bowl, melt red candy melts in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval or until fully melted. Drizzle over the top of the cut krispie treats. Repeat for remaining colors.
  8. Allow candy melts to set, then enjoy!

Just very gently even the top of the treats (I use the butter wrapper or marshmallow bag wrapper to press it in). Spread melted peanut butter morsels over the top.
  3. Top the melted peanut butter morsels with the peanut butter cups. Press those in so they stick! Allow to set, about one hour. Cut into squares and store in an airtight container. ENJOY.
