  • 150 g pudding rice
  • 750 ml milk
  • 300 ml double cream (heavy cream)
  • 35 g butter (melted)
  • 65 g sugar (white or golden )
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

How to cook:
  1. Grease the inside of the pot half way up, with a little softened butter.
  2. Add all of the ingredients into the pot and stir well.
  3. Turn on the slow cooker and cook for 3 hours on low.
  4. The pudding will be cooked when the rice is soft and fluffy, but retaining its shape without becoming mushy. You should still be able to stir through the pudding. Once cooked serve immediately.

  • 15g/½oz butter
  • 100g/3½oz pudding rice
  • 750ml/1¼ pint full-fat milk
  • 25g/1oz caster sugar, ideally golden caster sugar
  • ¼ tsp ground or grated nutmeg (optional)
  • 4 heaped tbsp jam, to serve
How to cook:
