Smoked Chili Chicken Wings

Smoked Chili Chicken Wings
Try these smoked chili chicken wings. Smoke up these marinated wings that are rubbed wings then smothered in a spicy chili BBQ sauce.

Ingredients:
  • chicken wings, flats and drumettes separated
  • Italian dressing
  • Traeger Chicken Rub
  • Traeger 'Que BBQ Sauce
  • chili sauce
  • Sauce of choice, for dipping
How to cook:
  1. Step 1
  2. Place the wings in a large resealable bag. Pour in the Italian and toss the wings in the bag to coat. Marinate the wings in the refrigerator for 6-12 hours.
  3. Step 2
  4. Remove the wings from marinade and shake off any excess. Season the wings all over with the Traeger Chicken Rub and let sit for 15 minutes.

  6. When ready to cook, set the Traeger temperature to 225℉ and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes. For optimal flavor, use Super Smoke, if available.

  8. In a small bowl, combine the BBQ and chili sauces.

  10. Place the wings directly on the grill grates. Close the lid and cook the wings until the internal temperature reaches 160℉.

  12. Remove the wings from the grill and transfer to a large bowl. Increase the grill temperature to 375℉ and preheat with the lid closed.
