Yields: 0 servings
Number of ingredients: 15
  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon adobo chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/3 cup tequila (I used Jose Cuervo Tequila Silver)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • juice of 4 limes
  • zest of 1 lime
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle sauce
  • 1/2 cup light sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry parsley
  • 2 tablespoons chunky medium salsa
How to cook:
  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 450 degrees, and add about 1-2 tablespoons salt to a large pot of water and bring to a boil.
  2. Add your wings and boil for about 10 minutes, then remove from water and pat dry.
  3. Take a baking sheet, cover it in foil and spray with Pam. Season the wings with all of the listed spices, then bake for about 15 minutes in preheated oven. Turn over and bake another 10 minutes.
  4. While the wings are baking, add all of the ingredients to a small saucepan for the tequila lime sauce over medium/low heat. Cook on the stovetop for about 8-10 minutes and remove from heat. Remove 1/4 cup of the sauce and set aside.
  5. Once the wings are done baking, place in a bowl and pour tequila lime sauce over, then toss the wings around being sure they are covered with sauce.
  6. Place the wings back on the baking sheet, and bake for another 5 minutes.
  7. While the sauce is baking into the wings, put all of the ingredients for the dip into a small bowl and stir them all together.
  8. Pour the reserved 1/4 cup of sauce over the wings and serve with lime wedges with dipping sauce.
  9. The wings are sticky, sweet and sour and the dip is creamy with a very slight kick to it. It's the perfect combination!
  10. Enjoy!
