  • 4 lb whole chicken (ours was 4.5 lbs.)
  • 2 tbsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • chicken dripping gravy (make with drippings)

How to cook:
  1. Wash your chicken and remove bag from cavity if there is one.
  2. Pat dry with paper towels. Rub olive oil on skin and season top and bottom of the bird. Spray inside of air fryer basket with non stick spray and put chicken into basket with the breast side facing down.
  3. Close air fryer lid, press air crisp at 360 degrees for 30 min.
  4. Then flip to breast side up. Cook remaining 30 minutes at 360 degrees. Always check to ensure meat has reached a safe temp. before consuming. If your bird is larger than mine it may take more time.
  5. Remove when done, or leave in the machine when done for at least 5 minutes to retain juices, cut into pieces and enjoy!
  6. Alternatively if you cannot tend to the chicken you can put chicken into basket after covered with olive oil and seasonings with breast side facing up at 360 degrees for 60 minutes. This is good too but top will get quite a bit more brown.

How to cook:

  2. Tie your chicken legs together with some string.

  4. Rub extra virgin olive oil into the skin and then season with chicken seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Place the whole chicken breast down in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 30 minutes at 180c/360f.

How to cook:
  1. Prep the chicken by removing the ties around the legs and giblet if not already removed.
  2. Coat the chicken with olive oil spray and evenly sprinkle the lemon pepper over the chicken.

  7. When flipping the chicken, you can add sliced lemon where the giblet goes if you prefer.
  8. Once it's flipped, continue cooking for 30-40 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches at least 165*F.

How to cook:
  1. Clean chicken, pat dry with a paper towel, and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, combine seasonings.
  3. Sprinkle seasoning mixture over chicken and cavity.
  4. Stuff the cavity with lemon and onion.
  5. Set the Ninja Foodi to the high saute setting.
  6. Add oil to the pot.
  7. Lay the chicken breast side down and cook until golden brown.
  8. Turn chicken over and continue cooking for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  10. Place the wire rack into the pot with the handles up, add the chicken broth.
  11. Place the chicken on top of the rack.
  12. Select pressure function for high to 6 minutes per pound (24-30 Minutes).
  13. When the timer goes off, let the pressure naturally release (do nothing) for 20 minutes.
  14. Once that is up, release the rest of the pressure and let the chicken rest for 15 minutes before cutting it.
  15. At this point - if you want it more crispy, set the function to broil for 5 minutes at 450 degrees, if it's to your liking skip this step.
  16. Serve immediately.
  17. Store leftovers in the fridge.
