The Department of Recreation is located in the Monroe Community Center at 120 Monmouth Road in Monroe Twp., NJ. The Recreation Department is responsible for planning and developing public recreational facilities. We coordinate and develop all recreational activities in addition to promoting and directing an all year program of cultural and leisure-time activities for both children and adults. We oversee the sports organizations and sponsor many special events throughout the year. In addition, the recreation department operates all township recreational facilities and develops immediate and long range plans to meet the growing recreational needs of the township.
