Artist Elizabeth Keithline invented a sculpture technique called Lost Box, where wire is woven around an object which is then burned, leaving only a wire mesh shape behind. This body of work is continually growing and changing with new installations. Keithline is a full-time artist, whose work has been shown nationally and part of many collections. She has taught Fibers at Rhode Island College, coordinated or curated several art shows attracting national artists, and run a school-based artist-in-residency program. She has also served as a consultant to the towns and organizations in their pursuit of public sculpture commissions.
